The Seattle Composers Alliance

We are a non-profit professional organization made up of working composers, students, and others interested in professional music composition. The SCA was created so that composers could gather with their peers in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere and share knowledge, experience and information. But we also have an agenda: special forums and seminars of interest to our members; expanding Seattle’s reputation as a center for musical creativity; and educational outreach to our community.

SCA Mixing Workshop

Do you struggle with mixing your pieces? Do you wish they sounded more professional, more like your favorite soundtracks and recording artists? Composer and FilmScoring.info founder Jeff Tolbert will lead you through his remixes of two pieces by local composers. He’ll discuss how to achieve clarity, depth and energy in your mixes and how to get your work to stand up next to the pros. Even if you only have the basic Logic or Digital Performer plugins, you can still pull off amazing-sounding mixes once you know a few tricks of the trade. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind workshop!
