Interested in being on a Committee or becoming a Board member? Let us know! – it’s a great way to get involved in the industry, and network with film festivals, directors, and events of all kinds. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
• There will be a “Demo Derby” of members’ latest music and video. Please limit your sample to about 3 minutes or less. Depending on the amount of materials we receive, we may choose to play a shorter excerpt. Bring a jump drive or send an email with a link or your file to email@example.com.
• FREE Food and beverages will be served.
• Door Prizes!
There is somewhat limited space, so please RSVP at our Facebook page for this event here!
About Empty Sea Studios: This is a great place to record audio AND video (3 cameras, mixing!) and/or present a small concert. In fact, you can conceivably put on a live show, charge admission and pay for your CD project all at once! It is definitely worth checking out. (http://www.emptysea.com/) Thanks to Michael Connolly and Empty Sea for their generous donation!
Please come and get involved. The SCA is a great organization to jump start your composing career. Many SCA members are now successful professional composers here in the Seattle area and in L.A. We have some very heavy composers in our organization, including Hummie Mann, Emmy Award winning composer, and founding member, and many others.
“The SCA has helped me build great connections with filmmakers and other composers. The experience you get from attending SCA events, and actively participating in the SCA is immeasurable.”
-Ed Hartman, SCA Board member
“I joined the SCA because I wanted to be a part of a community of composers who were dedicated to their craft. I am so glad I did because I made professional and personal relationships that will be lifelong. It provided me with a forum to meet other composers as well as filmmakers, find paying gigs and more experience as a composer.”
-Catherine Grealish, Past SCA Board member
