Brian Olendorf
Compositional Experience
Composed, orchestrated and arranged music in a wide variety of styles and ensembles. Compositions have been performed in various styles including string and symphony orchestras, small chamber ensembles, ballets, both large and small jazz ensembles. Compositions have been performed in numerous venues including Benaroya Hall, recital and outdoor concert settings.
Instrumental Experience
Over 30 years professional music performing experience in multiple music mediums, including pop, jazz, classical and contemporary music ensembles including:- Performed on piano and keyboards with many well-known musicians and entertainers in a wide variety of styles including: Steve Miller, Mel Tormé Charlie Musselwhite, Pat Boone, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Urbie Green, Mark Murphy, John Hendricks and many others
- Performed on cello with the Olympia Symphony, Central Washington University Symphony, Thalia Symphony, Northshore Symphonette
Teaching Experience
Instructor in music theory, history, and performance at Pierce College
