New Works, New Hope

The Seattle Composers Alliance, in partnership with Gilda's Club of Seattle, presents a concert of new works by SCA composers, performed by local high school and middle school ensembles. This concert raises funds for Gilda's Club and the fight against cancer.

Almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some manner. The comfort of patients and their families is the mission of Gilda's Club, a cause we all can truly identify with. "The program took on a whole new dimension," states SCA program manager and board member Geoff Ogle. "When Gilda's Club came on board, the program became a community service as well as educational outreach and an outlet for composers. It is such a worthy cause, the synergy is palpable."
