The First Annual Get-Acquainted Meeting of the Seattle Composers Alliance

Invitation:

The SCA is a non-profit professional organization made up of many of the Puget Sound area's working composers. Our goal is to create a relaxed, non-competitive environment in which to network, exchange information, talk shop, and trade horror stories.

We also plan to conduct educational seminars throughout the coming months and years -- some designed to bring outside experts to the group with pertinent information about aspects of our craft. Other presentations will be created by member composers with special areas of expertise which may be of interest to the rest of us.

We want the community to know we're here -- through a website, educational outreach to schools, concerts of our own works, and through tie-ins with other major arts organizations in the area. But ultimately, we want everyone to know that Seattle is a place where world-class composers are creating great music for a wide range of media.

Interested? We hope so. Because the more of us there are, the greater the benefits can be for each member. And the more impact we can have in our community and our industry.
