ASCAP & Performing Rights:
What Every Composer/Songwriter Should Know

The SCA and NARAS (Seattle Chapter) presented Nancy Knutsen (V.P of Film and Television Repertory) and Ron Sobel (Ass’t. V.P./Director of Repertory) from the L.A. office of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

They discussed the following topics:

  • The function of performing rights organizations
  • ASCAP’s current survey, licensing and distribution systems
  • Internet and new media update
In addition, the panel presented an in-depth look at ASCAP, including career development and membership activities, as well as member benefits.
