Seattle International Film Festival - Fly Filmmaking
May-June 2000
The SCA collaborated with SIFF to co-produce a music event at
the festival. The SCA also presented other SIFF-related events.
|
Back for it's third exciting year, Fly Filmmaking is the
Festival's version of "filmmaker's boot camp" and one of the most
industry-revered programs in the country. This is filmmaking in it's most
concentrated form. It invites local movie makers to collaborate with
seasoned veterans to create art under the most challenging circumstances:
using 22 minutes of film stock, each crew has 7 days to script, shoot, edit,
score and screen a film.
|
|
The SCA was once again the official music provider for the SIFF Fly
Filmmaking series.
Full Members of the SCA were eligible to score one of the three films in the
program. Internship positions were available for Associate Members of the SCA
to assist the film composers during the breathless week of filmmaking.
Screenings were Saturday, June 10, at the Cinerama.
SCA member Alistair Hirst scored "Peter's Day In The Sun." Member Glenn Lorbiecki comments,
We at Glenn Sound just finished posting "Peter's Day In The Sun" for the Fly
Festival, and Alistair's music was AWESOME! It's a very funny, twisted
little movie and you should all go see it on Saturday.
SCA rules!!!
See
Peter's Day In The Sun
at Atom Films.
(Film intended for mature audiences.)
