Secrets Of Home Studio Design

A panel discussion on designing and constructing a small or home studio. Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at Music Works Northwest.

The Seattle Composers Alliance sponsored a moderated panel discussion about the trials, tribulations and revelations that occur when one undertakes the task of designing and constructing a small-scale or home recording studio. Contracting, budgets, and acoustical considerations were all addressed.

Our guest panelists discussed the ins and outs of their most recent studio construction projects. Guests included acoustical engineer George Hallowell with Studio Pacifica; Tom McGurk, co-owner of Bad Animals studios; Alistair Hirst of Electronic Arts Seattle; and Steve Allen of AM Music.
