Yamaha A4000/A5000 Sampler Demo

A normally enjoyable SCA Meet and Greet was further enlivened by an informative (and entertaining) demo of the new Yamaha A4000 sampler by local composer and Yamaha representative Blake Angelos.

The A4000 provides 16 multitimbral parts and 64 notes polyphony, while the A5000 nearly doubles that with 32 multitimbral parts and 126 notes polyphony. Both samplers are expandable to 128MB RAM and can accommodate an internal hard drive and Zip drive. A SCSI port allows the connection of an external CD-ROM or CDR. In addition to being chock full of effects, the A4000 and A5000 are compatible with a wide variety of sample formats.
