Xbox Audio Creation Tool
August 13, 2004 at Microsoft Building 41
The Seattle Composers Alliance and Game Audio Network Guild present a
seminar on the Xbox Audio Creation Tool. The event is free, but open to
SCA and GANG members only.
On Friday, August 13, Scott Selfon from Microsoft's Xbox Advanced
Technology Group (and member of GANG and the SCA) will give a
detailed tutorial and presentation on XACT, the Xbox Audio Creation
Tool. Beyond allowing composers and sound designers to access the
significant audio capabilities of the Xbox without requiring the
services of a game programmer, XACT exposes variation and dynamic
playback of music, sound effects, and dialog, and allows for live
in-game mixing, editing, and auditioning. And XACT is also coming to the
PC game space later this year!
Open to members only of Seattle Composers Alliance or Game Audio Network
Guild.
