When All Were Asleep
A film by Fereydoon Hasanpour, with music score by SCA member Saeed Shahram
April 20, 2007
at the Northwest Film Forum, on Capitol Hill, Seattle

After waiting for so many years, Bibi Salimeh—the village's midwife—is about to go to Mecca. While she was getting ready to leave and saying good-bye to the villagers, bad news comes: she is not allowed to go. Nobody wants to tell her the bad news, except Mash Karim. Two children (Taleb, Ghasem), Nasir and Golnar (Mash Karim's sister) decide to make Bibi's dream come true and take her to Mecca themselves.

A Q and A session with film composer Saeed Shahram will follow the screening. Saeed is a noted composer with over 24 feature length movie sound tracks to his credit since 1983. He studied music composition and electronic music with Master Pour Tuorab and Master Karmi. Saeed moved to the United States in 1994 and currently lives in Seattle, Washington.
