Membership Requirements and Benefits

The SCA offers both associate and full membership.

Associate Membership

Associate membership is open to anyone interested in the SCA who does not meet full membership criteria. Associate member dues are $35 a year.

Associate membership benefits include:

• Reduced admission to all SCA-sponsored events
• Free admission to all SCA members-only networking nights
• Project leads from the SCA Web site's Need a Composer? request form
• Reduced subscription rates to Film Music Magazine
• Discounts at local music stores
• SCA sponsored internship programs
• Plus many other benefits in the works!!

Full Membership

Full membership is open to individuals who earn at least 50% of their income as a composer. Full member dues are $100 a year.

Full membership benefits include all associate member benefits plus:

• Free admission to all SCA-sponsored events
• Priority participation in "Fly Filmaking" (Seattle International Film Festival)
• Future public concert performances of original works

To join, fill out the application form below. Current and new members can pay dues:

  When you join the SCA, we ask that you participate in our membership directory. For this, as well as other members-only benefits, we need to assign you a login ID. Typically, we use the member's first initial and last name, but exceptions are made for those who use their middle name or who have a double given name.
